If you’re looking to connect deeply with nature while still enjoying modern comforts, this is the ideal getaway for you. Picture yourself relaxing by the wood stove, soaking in the tub, or gazing at the breathtaking outdoors through the large, light-filled windows.
The space
This lovingly crafted 3-bedroom, 2-bath home offers a spacious and serene setting where every detail reflects care and creativity. Our photographer perfectly described it as "cozy and super charming," with an abundance of natural light and beautiful original artwork that makes you feel truly at home.
With more windows than many larger houses, the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the outdoors fill every room. Handmade touches like original mosaics, wood and slate floors, and the wood stove provide a welcoming and heartfelt atmosphere for your stay.
Please note, this home embraces a natural, outdoorsy spirit. You may encounter wildlife like squirrels, birds, foxes, or raccoons, and during summer, you might notice some bugs inside. We kindly share that we use natural pest control and keep the home chemical- and fragrance-free to support your health and comfort.
Guest access
You will have parking for 3-5 cars. Since rideshares are not usually available nearby, we recommend having your own transportation. The nearest corner store is just 5 minutes away, with larger grocery options and restaurants within a 15-minute drive.
Other important notes
For the safety and comfort of all guests, please be aware that the home has multiple levels and stairs, making it less suitable for those with mobility challenges or anyone preferring a single-level space.

Celia December 2024We so enjoyed our stay at this amazing house deep in the woods of Chapel Hill. It’s just lovely there! We rented both the main house and the attached efficiency. It was great to have room to spread out and by simply opening a door, between the two, we had a larger space. We did lots of cooking for family meals and found the kitchen to be well-equipped. We had brought several pots & pans, as well as other kitchen items, but didn’t need them. We were able to sleep well each night and found plenty of extra blankets for the cold nights. We enjoyed warm showers in the morning with good water pressure. We really appreciated the ability to bring our dog and he thoroughly enjoyed the woods! The owners checked in with me on that first day and I knew that they were eager for us to enjoy our stay.
We highly recommend this charming home and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This was such a unique and fun place to stay with friends for a quiet weekend. I would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself. We really enjoyed all the art work throughout the home. It was also the definition of pet friendly! Our dog Lucky loved the red barn treats that were provided by the host. We meticulously pack for our dog because we never know what to expect but I was blown away because they had everything, bowls, dog food, treats, pet linens, if we ever stay there again I know I can minimally pack for my dog. Also extra points for the comfortable beds, truly some of the best sleep that I’ve had in awhile.
